Next year marks the 150th Anniversary of the start of the Civil War. Join us and take a journey into the past with a long-forgotten diary that recounts the beginning of the Civil War and explore some of the quilting traditions of the 19th century.
Join Bonnie in September to explore some of the techniques, ins and outs, of creating miniature quilts inspired by the history and fabrics of the Civil War. Take a journey into the past and enjoy piecing treasures for today and honing your skills in creating a variety of miniature quilt projects.
This six month club is based on the quilts in Kathleen Tracy's book "Remembering Adelia". You will enjoy a sentimental glimpse into the world of one ordinary woman living in the North during a troubling time in our nation's history. Participants will meet once a month for a workshop, discussion and sewing - machine or hand.
